The Beast Below Overnight Ratings

11 April 2010

Episode 2 of Series 5, The Beast Below has received Overnight Ratings of 6.7 Million Viewers. 6.4 Million were watching the show on BBC One and a further 330,000 were watching on the BBC HD Channel.

Although these rating are quite low, as the football will have attracted a lot of viewers on ITV, Doctor Who was in fact most watched programme of the day, receiving an audience share of 34%. BARB will release the final (official) ratings in 10 days time.

What do you think of these ratings? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Bear in mind that these are only overnight figures, and usually go up by 1 million! The first half of S4 had mostly 7-8 million, the ratings went back up to 8 million when the show was put back to a later time slot!

The rating is quite high compared to many other shows! :)

it should be on about 7 really. If its clashes with britains got talent DW might get less

I agree. What happened to: "Doctor Who, Every Saturday at 7:00pm" ??? Hopefully it will be put a bit later :)

i think that i prefer 7 pm but true that it will clash with britians got talent so the times they now have it on should stay the same.

Britain's Got Talent started at 8pm, so a 7pm start for Dr Who would be fine.
