Welcome Back!

31 December 2009

Welcome to the New Refurbished Tardis Travels for Series 5 of Doctor Who. Over our Christmas Break instead of doing nothing at all, we got to work with refurbishing our site for Series 5. I'd just like to say we had a great break and a lovely Christmas, and I hope you did too. I hope you like the new look, and please comment in the Chat Box as we would love to hear what you think. The End of Time was absolutally amazing, the best Doctor Who Episode ever. Then we got to the regeneration, it was heartbreaking. So its the end for David, but only the begining for Matt. I'd just like to wish quickly a Happy New Year to all visitors of Tardis Travels. We have had a great year, I've worked hard, but enjoyed every minute of it! Now heres to 2010.

Also for Tardis Travels return we have a couple of new features, first we have a new page, the Extra Page. On there you will be able to find some little sections including the new Contact Us section. We also have the Forum section. We have a discussion up, so please head over to it here, to discuss your views on it.

Weeping Angels to Return

In a recent interview with BBC Radio 3, Steven Moffet, who is taking over as head writer for Series 5 of Doctor Who confirmed that one of 'his' monsterous aliens would be back. The 11th Doctor and Amy Pond will be facing none other than The Weeping Angels, which were first seen in the Series 3 episode Blink.

The writer revealed that even know there has been some epic adventures including Journeys End and the upcoming Christmas Special, The End of Time, he says that an episode in Series 5 wont be able to match up to them.
“Don’t assume that we’ve faced the biggest threat yet,” he said. “I believe we do have a bigger one, which is great.”

Series 5 of Doctor Who will air in the Spring of 2010. Stay with us to get all the latest news for the series.

13 December 2009

So another gift is ready, unfortunately because I've been so busy with so little time, I didn't have much time to make something really good, so I just made a couple of bookmarks. Its better than nothing. I hope to do something better next weekend. You may use these bookmarks for yourself and I hope they come to good use.

Click to enlarge and then to save right click and then select 'save picture as'. The dotted lines are for you to put your name on. I hope you like them.

Christmas Layout

The Christmas Layout for Tardis Travels has now been added! It will stay up until boxing Day. I hope you like the layout and the snow! We have put a lot of effort into making our site Christmassy. Please note that these changes will not occur on any other page of this site. It is just for the homepage. Unfortunately, Tardis Travels admin Ellis is unable to update during this Christmas break, but will return to us in the new year.

This is Tardis Travels' first Christmas and so far we are loving it. I am very excited about going into 2010 and feel I have achieved a lot since we opened. I'd like to say thaank you for all the support you have given us. Especially some people, you know who you are.

06 December 2009

Christmas is coming. There is a new Christmas banner up along with a snowy background and soon to be a Christmas layout! I hope everyone likes these things so far. As you can see, like all other sites around, Tardis Travels is getting into the Christmas feel. To go with this, unfortunately we can't do an advent calender because we don't have time, but every weekend I will release a little something for everyone. The first one you can see below (click to enlarge):

So look thats the first one. Look out for next week!

The End of Time scheduling update

02 December 2009

We once posted about digital spy confirming the date and time for both parts of The End of Time, but it has now been confirmed by the BBC press office that this scheduling was wrong.
It has now been confimed that Part one will be on Christmas day from 6.00pm - 7.00pm on BBC One. Then Part two will air on New years day from 6.40pm - 7.55pm. so this also confirms that part two will be 75 minutes long.
There has also been a rumour that from between 7.55pm - 8.00pm, after The End of Time part two, there will be a new series 5 preview, but this is just a rumour so no confirmation yet.
We apoliges for the other post about The End of Time time/date confirmation and this is now the correct information.
So remember:
The End of Time Part one, Christmas day, 6.00pm - 7.00pm, BBC One.
The End of Time part two, New year's day, 6.40pm - 7.55pm, BBC One.
