Happy Halloween

31 October 2009

Hello everybody. I'd just like to wish you all a Happy Halloween, if you celebrate it or not. Tardis Travels will keep its Halloween layout until Sunday evening, so it will be up all weekend. Also make sure you watch out for exclusive interview with Cush Jumbo from Torchwood, which will be published tomorrow.

Our admin, Whovian Guy will be absent and unable to update until the Tuesday. Sorry for any inconvenience as this may result in a lack of updates as I am unable to update on week days.

Latest Releases for 31st October 2009

30 October 2009

A lot is going on tomorrow in Big Finish, Halloween across the globe of course, and not to mention, TARDIS Travels! However, i am going to highlight some new releases for the 31st October 2009. You can read them below.

Doctor Who- The Castle of Fear
Stockbridge used to be such a lovely place. The loveliest village in all England, according to the guide books. But hardly anyone visits Stockbridge now: a few tourists, a couple of Trust guides, the odd beady-eyed raven. (Part of the Stockbridge Trilogy)

K9- Episode 1 on Disney XD Channel
Brand new series of K9 Adventures starts on Disneys XD Channel.

Doctor Who- World Wide Web
London, 2015. The Doctor’s looking for a lost space probe. Lucie Miller’s feeling just plain lost, on a world she no longer quite belongs to. Perhaps there’s someone who can help. A chance encounter with an old sparring partner leads Lucie to the Eightfold Truth – a bunch of crystal-bearing cranks who reckon a rebel sun is on its way to purge the Earth.

Doctor Who- The Companion Chronicles- The Pyralis Effect
Long ago, the planet Pavonis IV was saved from certain destruction by the Doctor. Now it is dead, laid waste by environmental catastrophe, but a few survivors and their precious race bank survive on the star ship Myriad. Their mission: to scour the universe for the fabled dimensionally transcendental obelisk in which their saviour travels, and persuade him to save their world again.

The BIG Review: The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith P1

29 October 2009

The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith

Rating: 5/10

Review: The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith made me feel extremely excited from the moment i looked at the bold words in Doctor Who Magazines Gallifrey Guardian. Then i spotted the trailer and predicted the return of the Trickster.

It was so close to being shown. I was waiting with Raven stuck on my television. And then it all went horribly wrong. For some reason, there wasn't much story to it. It was kind of an episode that pasted up the arrival of the Trickster and the Doctor. The format of the episode was more like a 1 hour needed time slot, because they kept throwing 3 Days Later at us and that. However my family at home giggled a couple of times with the little arguments between Mr Smith and K9, and k9 himself.

The Doctor of course was fantastic, and the Trickster...well all I'm saying is that he's dressed for the occasion of the Wedding. All in all, i think it 5 out of 10.

I'm almost sure i will love Part Two and the remaining episodes of Series 3, but this one was a little dull.

Tomorrow: The Wedding of Sarah Jane Smith Part 2 (What will the editors of TARDIS Travel think about this one?)

The Sarah Jane Adventures 'The Mad Woman in the Attic' Ratings

The latest two-part story of The Sarah Jane Adventures Series Three, also known as 'The Mad Woman in the Attic' was an obvious highlight of the Evening for CBBC Fans, as over 0.6 million people tuned in to view Part 1. Part 2 followed the following day with 0.8 million. 'The Mad Woman in the Attic' was shown before 'OOglies' and the Game Zone including a game show each day such as 'Raven' and 'Keep your Enemies Close'.

This is a healthy treat for the show. You might be thinking that the scores are rubbish, after reading that 10 million people watched 'Journeys End' from 'Doctor Who'. However, this is not as successful as other types of shows because it has it's limits, as it is a Children's Target Audience. What do you think of the Overall Ratings?
